Alliance Economic Impact Survey Cited During Congressional Committee Hearing

 

During a hearing in the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure in the House of Representatives on "Residential Through-the-Fence Agreement at Public Airports: Action to Date and Challenges Ahead", Mitch Swecker, State Airports Manager at the Oregon Department of Aviation discussed the significant impact general aviation has within his state.  During his testimony, Mr. Swecker cited the Alliance's economic impact survey, stating that general aviation contributes $1.8 billion annually to the Oregon economy and is also responsible for close to 197,000 jobs.  To find out more about the economic impact of general aviation in your state, make sure to check out the full economic impact survey here.
