Recently, the adventure of flight brought children between the ages of 8 and 17 accompanied by their parents to Creswell's Hobby Field to experience flight in a small plane. For many this was their first time flying in any type of aircraft.  Since 1982, when the Young Eagles program took flight, the Experimental Aircraft Association has given interested children and youth an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation (non-commercial) airplane. The flights were offered at no cost, made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers.
